President Donald Trump's inauguration event will feature performances by Carrie Underwood, Village People, Lee Greenwood and more.
Underwood released a statement Monday saying she was “honored” to perform during President Trump's swearing-in at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 20.
“I love this country and I was honored to be asked to sing at the inauguration and be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said, according to the Associated Press. “I am humbled to answer this call at a time when we all need to come together in a spirit of unity and look to the future.”

Underwood, the 2005 “American Idol” winner, will sing “America the Beautiful,” and the Army Choir and Naval Academy Glee Club will also participate.

Underwood is scheduled to perform “America the Beautiful” after Vice President-elect J.D. Vance takes the oath of office and before President Trump takes the oath of office.

The '70s disco group Village People has been a fixture at President Trump's rallies over the past year, performing hits such as “YMCA” and “Macho Man.”

The group is scheduled to perform either at President Trump's inaugural ball or at a rally in Washington ahead of the inauguration.
Village People shared a statement on Facebook on Monday. “We know some people may not be happy to hear this, but we believe music should be played without politics,” the band said.

“Our song YMCA is a global anthem that we hope will help unite the country after a chaotic and divisive election campaign in which our favored candidate lost.” they continued. “Therefore, we believe now is the time to unite the nation through music. That's why VILLAGE PEOPLE will be performing at various events as part of President Donald J. Trump's 2025 Inauguration. ”

The Associated Press reported that along with Greenwood, opera singer Christopher Macchio is scheduled to perform at President Trump's inauguration.
