WWE star CM Punk begins “Monday Night Raw” addressing the crowd in San Jose, California.
Before going on to discuss his ambitions to compete at WrestleMania 41 and take another jab at Seth Rollins, Punk gave a special shout out to first responders and emergency personnel battling fires in the Los Angeles area.

“Right now, before we get into the meat of CM Punk, I have to say this quickly: To all the firefighters and first responders in the great state of California and the surrounding areas that are sending everyone to fight this natural disaster. Thank you to all the people of the state. Fire,” Punk said. “I'm talking about Canada, I'm talking about Mexico. My people, we hear you and we appreciate you.”
The SAP Center crowd then cheered when Punk declared himself one of the contestants for the Royal Rumble match on February 1st.
WWE was at the Intuit Dome a week ago for the debut of “Monday Night Raw” on Netflix. Punk defeated Rollins in the first main event of the new era.

The Los Angeles wildfires started Tuesday afternoon as winds blew through the area. Several fires broke out and spread rapidly throughout the area.
More than 20 people died in the tragedy.
Officials warned early Monday that the threat to the region was not over.
Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Christine Crowley said, “We can't be too predictable. We want to make sure of that. We can't be too predictable right now. We can't let our guard down.”

“As we speak, the Los Angeles Fire Department is maximizing its resource capabilities and response capabilities as increased wind power looms,” Crowley added. “All LAFD available resources are in place. I have strategically pre-positioned engine attack teams and task forces dedicated to rapid response in the event of new fires within the city. .”
