Former Mets first-round pick Dom Smith has agreed to a minor league deal with the Yankees, the Post has confirmed.
Smith, 29, played in 93 games in the majors last season between the Reds and Red Sox. Recorded an OPS of .691.
The left-handed Smith has played exclusively as a first baseman the past three seasons after previously spending time in the outfield.
The Yankees recently signed right-hander Paul Goldschmidt to a one-year, $12.5 million contract to replace Anthony Rizzo, who has battled injuries throughout his time with the Yankees and has yet to find a new home.

Smith played six seasons with the Mets, but never lived up to expectations when they were drafted 11th overall in 2013.
His best season was the coronavirus-shortened 2020 season, when he hit 10 home runs in 50 games.
Smith's deal with the Yankees was first reported by YES Network.
