Woman vanishes as police find car in ditch, arrest driver in puzzling case

The family of a missing Alabama woman has repeatedly appealed to police for assistance after the 39-year-old went missing last week.

Chastity Ann Terry was last seen at an interstate exit in Guinn, Alabama, around 1:30 a.m. on January 10, according to the Hamilton Police Department.

Authorities said Terry “may be living with a condition that may impair his judgment.”

According to the Hamilton Police Department, 39-year-old Chastity Ann Terry was last seen on Thursday, Jan. 9, in Hamilton, Bear Creek, Jasper or areas along Interstate 22. It is said that there is a possibility. (Alabama Law Enforcement Department Community Information Center)

Hamilton Police Chief Jordan Carter said Terry was last seen with 49-year-old Charles David Williams Jr. at the Love's gas station truck stop on Interstate 22. Ta.

“Terry then left Love's in Jasper with the man, and from there they headed west on Interstate 22,” he said. “We believe she commandeered a vehicle that was in a ditch near Exit 22 of State Route 22, which is State Route 45.”

On Tuesday, police announced they had impounded the vehicle in which Terry was last seen and arrested the vehicle's driver.

“Investigators are working diligently to locate Chastity,” police said.

Authorities have not provided details about whether Williams' arrest is related to Terry's disappearance. Reported by WBMA-LD The two allegedly traveled to the Birmingham area to buy drugs.

In a Facebook post, her sister asked for the public's help in locating Terry.

“Someone needs to know something, or even just hear something,” Carrie Galbreath writes. “If so, please contact one of us immediately!! We want to bring our sister home!”

Terry is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, with strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes.
