The Senate is likely to have several relatively uncontroversial Cabinet nominees. In the interest of time, senators may agree to expedite the process and approve individual candidates or candidates by voice vote or unanimous consent.
Unless all 100 (currently 99) senators object.
This will accelerate debate in the Senate, where speaking time is important.
But there are good reasons why some Democrats oppose streamlining the process.

It's not because they're trying to clog the Senate's plumbing. Democrats could require a roll call vote on their favored candidates to show they voted in a bipartisan manner to approve some of President-elect Donald Trump's nominees.
Democrats are likely to reject Pete Hegseth's nomination to be secretary of defense. However, other candidates who are relatively easy to confirm, such as Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) for Secretary of State and Sean Duffy for Secretary of Transportation, may require a roll call vote. There is sex.

That would allow Democrats to claim they voted for “X” of Trump's nominees and claim they operated in a bipartisan manner.
