President Biden was widely condemned by conservatives on social media after warning in his final address to the nation that “an oligarchy is forming in America.”
“That's why I want to use my farewell address tonight to alert the nation to some things that are of great concern to me,” Biden said in his farewell address Wednesday night. “And this is dangerous. And it means that there is a dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very wealthy few, and that their abuse of power, if left unchecked, has dangerous consequences. Today, an oligarchy is forming in ultra-wealthy America, a power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our fundamental rights and freedoms, and a fair chance for everyone to advance. ”
“We're seeing the effects of that across America. And we've seen it before.”
Conservatives on social media quickly reacted to the remarks, calling out billionaires Biden has interacted with over the years, including liberal mega-donor George Soros, to whom Biden recently awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Pointed out and criticized.

Mace added in another post: “It's meaningful to see Joe Biden talk about democracy, press freedom, institutions, and abuse of power in his final farewell speech.”
