President-elect Donald Trump wants to make Hollywood great again, and he's enlisted a trio of entertainment industry veterans Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as special envoys to carry out this formidable task. was appointed.

President Trump made the announcement Thursday in a Truth Social post.

“I am honored to announce the appointment of Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as special ambassadors to the great but deeply troubled place of Hollywood, California,” he wrote. “They will serve as my emissaries with the goal of bringing back Hollywood, which has lost so much business to foreign countries over the past four years, bigger, better, and stronger than ever!”

President Trump said the three stars will serve as his “eyes and ears” on the ground and “I will implement what they suggest.”

“Like the United States itself, the Golden Age of Hollywood will return.”

Oscar winning film go home Actor Jon Voight has been a longtime Trump supporter and has repeatedly expressed support for the president on social media.

Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone recently spent time at Mar-a-Lago following President Trump's victory in November.

As Breitbart News reported, major studios and streamers have moved their filming operations to cheaper locations, including many overseas locations such as Europe where they can get lucrative financial incentives. Television and film production in Southern California has plummeted to catastrophic levels in recent years. .

The Biden administration will only make the situation worse, as economic pessimism and soaring consumer prices are hitting Hollywood studios hard, leading to mass layoffs from executives to backlots as advertising revenues continue to decline.

As a result, studios are allowing far fewer shows, creating a vicious cycle of unemployment.

The Walt Disney Company cut 7,000 jobs worldwide in 2023, and CEO Bob Iger continued to cut jobs through 2024.

Meanwhile, post-production work is moving overseas as studios look to outsource visual effects and other labor to cheaper vendors.

China continues to block or severely restrict the release of Hollywood movies in local theaters, cutting off what was once considered a major source of revenue for studios.
