MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell praised President Biden's accomplishments during his term, including passing the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.
“Look, I told Biden we're never going to get an infrastructure bill,” O'Donnell told Biden in his final interview as president, released Thursday. “In my legislative experience working in the Senate, I couldn't understand how that was possible with this smallest Senate majority in history. I still don't know how they got it done, or any magic trick. It seems like.”
Biden's Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, signed into law on November 15, 2021, directs billions of dollars to environmental projects, including promoting clean energy through public transportation and environmental cleanup.

“Look, what I argued to the legislators was [and] The senators who resigned are wondering how we can lead the world without the most modern infrastructure in the world,” Biden said.
O'Donnell told Biden: “You combined domestic policy and foreign policy in a way that no other president has done.”
“Well, by the way, because it's necessary,” the president replied. “There's no way we can do our foreign policy unless we're in a strong position to do it when it comes to economic policy. Look, Lawrence, you're one of the best-informed people I know. ”I'm not soliciting — well, I shouldn't hurt your reputation by saying that, but all jokes aside, think about it. If we don't lead the world, who can? ” Biden said.
“What will happen? I don't mean to rule,” he continued. “What I'm saying is that we lead the world based on fundamental, foundational principles like the United Nations Charter. Who will step up and who has the capacity to do it? We There's scale, there's scope, there's ability, but we've got to get back in the game, and that's all I really did.”

O'Donnell has been a major supporter of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in the media, even criticizing reporters for being too harsh on White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
