A Florida woman was found decomposed and dismembered in her backyard, torn apart by her three hungry dogs, and parts of her body were mutilated, according to her brother, who stumbled upon the gruesome scene. It looks like it was eaten.
Alejandro Llanes discovered the body of his 58-year-old brother, Aleles Llanes, in their Cape Coral home on Monday after not hearing from him for several weeks. Initially, some of the bodies were thought to be “animal-like pigs.” he told WBBH..
“No legs, no arms. It was like a big leather bag. I was like, 'God, I can't believe what I'm seeing,'” the grieving brother recalled.
“It was part of a person. It didn't have legs, it didn't have arms, it didn't even have a whole body.”
Llanes believes her sister died due to poor health, but said at some point the three dogs began “eating” her.
“What happened was that she didn't live a healthy lifestyle, like drinking a lot of wine and not eating properly,” Llanes said.
“She probably collapsed in the backyard and a week or so later, a hungry dog is an animal. They need to survive. They just started eating her.”
Llanes added that the inside of her sister's filthy house was covered in dog feces and filth.
It was not immediately clear when Ares died.
Her brother said relatives had been trying to contact her for several weeks.
“We are calling and there is no answer,” Llanes said, adding that her relatives last heard from her in December.
Police are still investigating Alerez's death and do not believe it was a suspicious death.
Meanwhile, her three dogs are currently being examined by local animal control authorities.
The Post contacted the local police department, but did not immediately receive a response.
