Caitlin Clark's admiration for Taylor Swift finally came full circle after the two hugged multiple times during the Chiefs' divisional round playoff game on Saturday.
Clark was spotted sitting in the pop star's suite at Arrowhead Stadium, where Kansas City defeated the Texans 23-14 to advance to the AFC title game.
After a key 49-yard reception from Travis Kelce that scored the Chiefs' only touchdown of the first half, the two shared their first hug (at least as seen on ABC) in the suite.
Later in the game, Clarke and Swift were seen sitting next to each other in the front row of the box, and the pair hugged numerous times throughout the second half.
Clark and the 14-time Grammy Award winner hugged again after Kelce caught an 11-yard touchdown pass at the start of the fourth quarter, at which point the Chiefs' lead over the Texans had expanded to eight points.
During Clark's multiple Elas Tour appearances in Indianapolis in November, Swift invited the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year to a game. by Sports Illustrated.
Clark sat close to Kelsey during the second Ellas tour performance on Nov. 2, where she posted to X, “I'M FIRED UP!!!!!!!!” from her seat.
Clark's support for Swift became a hot topic when he posted on X in September 2023, “Taylor Swift, welcome to the good side.'' #ChiefsKingdom” when it was revealed that the pop star had been having an affair with Kelce.
Clark appeared on the Kelce brothers' podcast “New Heights” and opened up about his support for the Chiefs.
“I have family in Kansas City, and I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, just three hours from Kansas City,” Clark said on the podcast. “It’s really the closest NFL team.”
Clark has been dubbed the “Taylor Swift of women's basketball” by Hall of Fame player and coach Nancy Lieberman.
