“This team is going to be in office with a different Donald Trump than it was in 2017. We've had a lot of experience,” Cruz said.

Cruz said the “most consistent characteristics” among candidates for President Trump's second term are “being a change agent” and having the mindset of “actively working to change the culture of an organization.” He said it was true.

“Today's Trump team is much more aware of the deep state challenge, the embedded bureaucracy challenge that really resisted a lot of what he wanted to do in his first term,” Cruz said. he said. “And I think they can more effectively reorient the battleship in the direction that they think the American public expects.”
