AOC launches series of explosive Instagram rants on eve of inauguration

A visibly shaken Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) had a busy day on social media Sunday, posting a series of rants related to President-elect Donald Trump on Instagram.

She quickly began scolding TikTok for sending out a notice thanking “President Trump” for restoring the app.

“A law has been passed in the United States that bans TikTok. Unfortunately, you cannot use TikTok at this time. We are fortunate that President Trump will work with us on a solution to bring TikTok back once he takes office.” “Please stay tuned,” the notice said.

She said on her Instagram Story that Trump is not yet president and remains a private citizen, suggesting that referring to Trump as such heightens concerns about TikTok's words.

“First of all, Donald Trump is not the president right now. He's a private citizen. He doesn't have access to presidential power, he doesn't have the ability to do anything like that,” AOC said.

She claims that by mentioning Donald Trump in its notifications, the app “indicates that it has agreed to work informally with Donald Trump and the Trump Administration.”

“And as for people's concerns about TikTok being used as a propaganda tool by the Chinese, please understand that they are using it as a propaganda tool for the right wing,” she added.

She warned her followers: “We are on the eve of a dictatorship. This is what 21st century fascism is beginning to look like.”
