Far-left Democratic California Congressman Ro Khanna has abandoned Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and is now encouraging Disney's Bob Iger to replace Bass as mayor of Los Angeles. Mr. Khanna also appears to be launching a thinly veiled attack on incumbent Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom, saying he wants it. “New leadership” will emerge across the state.
Khanna expressed support for Iger in an interview. And the problem is Host Erex Michaelson offered his support without solicitation.
“I would say Bob Iger should run for mayor of Los Angeles,” Khanna said. “He's someone I know very well. He's the leader of Disney and he's a great guy. He was thinking about running for president, so I thought of it. And we We need new leadership for California and these cities.”
“Bob Iger would be phenomenal,” Khanna continued. “There's going to be a major rebuild in Los Angeles, and I'm hopeful that he'll do it. I don't know if he'll do it, but I hope he does.”
“Karen Bass is the mayor and is running for re-election,” Michelson pointed out.
Khanna admitted that it was the first time he was rooting for her, but added, “Right now, I would rather see Bob Iger. It's a moment of crisis.” I think Iger has the business leadership and the ability to do something new to help with the redevelopment. ”
There is also another reason. Khanna continued: “You know, we have to prepare the city for the 2028 Olympics.”
“I don't know if he's going to do it,” Khanna said, insisting he had already discussed the idea with Iger. “I said it should be done,” he told Michelson.
Mr. Khanna concluded his statement of support by saying: “I think he wanted to run for president but didn't for a variety of reasons, but I want new leadership across the state of California. But we certainly need dynamic leadership in Los Angeles.”
“I support Iger more than anyone else,” Khanna concluded.
