A devil in a new bodysuit.

Kanye West has announced a return to his roots with the surprisingly familiar Yzy women's collection.

The rapper, who legally changed his name to Ye in 2021, took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday to share a photo of himself in a high-cut black bodysuit, the same one his wife Bianca Sensori often wears. He teased his new venture.

“Next up is Yzy Women's. Scaling Innovation. Anyone wearing clothes that don't work with Yeezy be afraid, be very afraid,” West wrote in part.

He also accused Yeezy's former partner Adidas of terminating Yeezy's lucrative contract in 2022 following the release of the rapper's “White Lives Matter” T-shirt and anti-Semitic comments. did.

“No company will leverage my platform. They will use me to contact us. They will ignore my vision and direction and overcharge the community,” said West, 47. He went on to mention some complaints about retailers.

“Now, my vision is coming true, and just as Gemini Tupac said, 'Die, die, die,' I'm taking a John Wick-like revenge on all fashion companies. ”

It appears that Sensori has been modeling for her husband's new work for months, if not years. In 2023, Page Six exclusively reported that West's atelier was responsible for her most recent New Year's Eve outfits, including a thong bodysuit paired with sparkly tights.

West's latest designs are reminiscent of those from his original Yeezy brand, which launched in 2015 with a similar neutral-colored, sock-centric aesthetic.

Among his early Yeezy models? His now ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

Following several seasons worth of Yeezy releases, Kim helped launch her Skims brand in 2019, starting with shapewear, bodysuits, and underwear in the same familiar flesh-toned color palette.

At the time, it was reported that the reality star made $2 million online in the first few minutes of Skims, and her brand has since grown into an empire worth more than $4 billion, selling swimwear, loungewear, and Fendi. The company has expanded its reach to include designer partnerships with companies such as Dolce & Gabbana.

Kim may be synonymous with Skims, but he was West. Kim was credited as the brand's “ghost creative director” in 2019 And the controversial rapper has been shaping Sensori with his preferred aesthetic over the past few years, with fans now often comparing the two women's outfits.

Although he is credited with drawing the Skims logo and hiring some of the brand's early models and photographers, Ye has since largely stayed out of the Kardashian business, and is currently working with Tucker in 2022. In an interview with Carlson, he even criticized the company's image for being “hypersexualized.”

“Skims is based on a lot of Yeezy's ideas,” West told Carlson at the time. “I needed to use my relationships in fashion to establish Kim so that fashionable people would say, 'Of course I wear Kim's line.'

West's latest offering certainly has elements of its Skims competitors, but here's what's notable: According to Forbesthe rapper still owns a 5% stake in his ex's huge brand, so he'll continue to benefit from Skims' success as well.
