Elon Musk has been under attack essentially nonstop ever since he boarded the MAGA train. It's no surprise that many people were dissatisfied with Musk's speech at President Donald Trump's inauguration.
An excited Musk took to the stage and thanked everyone for “making it happen.” He put his right hand over his heart and then thrust it out into the crowd. Then he turned around and did the same to the audience sitting behind him.
Some saw this action as a sign of gratitude. But others likened it to a Hitler salute.
In response to the backlash, Musk said, took me to X and posted:

Garrett said Musk probably didn't think about how his gesture would be received because he “has autism.”
“I think it was just an autistic moment,” he says.
Angela disagrees. “I don't think autism will cause you to do the Nazi salute twice,” she says. “I'm just playing devil's advocate. …I'm not saying 100 percent, but I think he did, but he did. [the gesture] Twice. ”
“I don't think that was a Nazi salute,” Dave says.
“He was communicating his heart to the audience,” Garrett added sympathetically. “You can see he's always waving his arms. Classic Elon.”
