Investigators say the man who opened fire Wednesday at a high school in Nashville, Tennessee, killing a female student and injuring another before turning the gun on himself, found web-based materials found on the site “significantly impactful.” “I was attacked,” the deceased gunman said. On Wednesday, Metropolitan Nashville Police identified 17-year-old Solomon Henderson as the shooter at Antioch High School, killing 16-year-old Joselyn Correa-Escalante and wounding a 17-year-old student who suffered from wounds after being grazed by bullets. Ta. The latter was subsequently treated and released from the hospital.
In a news release Thursday, police said an investigation into the murder-suicide inside the school cafeteria determined that Henderson fired 10 shots from a 9 mm pistol within 16 seconds of entering the room.
The handgun was loaded with nine rounds when it was recovered by investigators, police said. A magazine loaded with seven rounds was also recovered from the cafeteria floor.

Just before entering the cafeteria, investigators say Henderson entered a nearby restroom and posted a photo on social media.
Police previously believed Henderson took the bus to school on Wednesday, but have since confirmed that his mother drove him to school.

When investigators searched Henderson's residence, they found no other firearms or gun parts.
No firearm was found, but detectives have since found two documents believed to have been created by Henderson on non-traditional websites. One was 51 pages and the other was 288 pages.

Police said documents and other evidence found at the residence were being looked at closely by homicide detectives and detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division and the FBI.
“It is clear that Henderson is heavily influenced by web-based material, particularly that found on non-traditional sites that most people would find harmful and objectionable,” police said.

Additionally, we learned that the pistol was purchased by an individual in Arizona in 2022 and had not been reported stolen.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will help police determine how Henderson acquired the handgun.
