A man of his words, President Donald Trump has wasted no time addressing America's immigration crisis.
Trump has argued that no other country in the world has citizenship requirements as lenient as the United States, but Democratic critics hope the Supreme Court will overturn the order.
“We are, you know, the only country in the world that does this by birthright,” Trump said as he signed the order. I think there is very good evidence. People have wanted to do this for decades. ”

“There's a tourism industry surrounding this whole birthright citizenship thing. Women can come here before they give birth, they can give birth here, and the baby becomes a U.S. citizen. That's nuts, to his point , no one else does this,” says Gonzalez.
Approximately 150,000 children are born each year in the United States without an American citizen parent.
“Go ahead and don’t do that,” Gonzalez says.
And it may truly be the end of birthright citizenship, as Jason Butrill believes this time, the Trump administration has everything it needs for this executive order to stick.
“Big Democratic lawyers were saying, 'Look, we're trying to do what we can, but this is not the Trump administration of 2017,'” Buttrill says. “It's a whole different ball game. They came with an army of lawyers.”
“They can try to fight a lot of this stuff. It's probably going to take four years to get any kind of finality,” he adds.
