ABC Reporter Can’t Seem To Accept Tom Homan’s Answer That Illegal Aliens Will Be Deported Everyday Of Trump’s Term

Borderland's Tom Homan doubled down on ABC News on Sunday after host Martha Raddatz twice wondered whether the Trump administration would deport millions of illegal immigrants.

Troops will be sent to the U.S. southern border to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Border Patrol operations and carry out raids to apprehend illegal immigrants, amid President Donald Trump's first week in office. Assisted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. On ABC News' “This Week,” Raddatz asked the border czar if the arrests were something Americans “see every day.”

“Yes, but as we open up, we'll see the numbers steadily increase, the number of arrests across the country will increase. Right now, we're seeing public safety threats, national security threats, and it's population. We’re focused on having less,” Homan said.

“So, as President Trump promised, we will make this a priority, but once that opening opens, there will be a lot of arrests across the country,” Homan added.

Video footage aired on Fox News on Thursday showed ICE agents conducting raids, including one in Boston, Massachusetts, where a Haitian immigrant was arrested. The migrants were seen shouting on camera to praise former presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama before insisting they would not return to Haiti. Although the individual's name has not been released, Fox News' Bill Melgin reported that the Haitian immigrant is a gang member with 17 criminal convictions in recent years. Biden's policy reversal will allow ice agents to arrest “criminal aliens,” including rapists and murderers, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Benjamin Huffman noted Tuesday. Raddatz pushed Homan again and asked if he would try to arrest illegal immigrants who were “previously convicted or arrested.”

“If you're in the country illegally, you're at the table because it's not okay to violate the laws of this country,” Homan responded. “You have to remember: Every time you enter this country illegally, you have violated a crime under Title 8, U.S. Code 1325. It is a crime.”

“So if you're in the country illegally, you have a problem. That's why I think people who are in the country illegally and who haven't had an order removed by a federal judge should leave.” I hope so,” Homan said.

Since being appointed border czar, Homan has remained adamant about fulfilling Trump's campaign vows to Americans to close the border and address the illegal immigration crisis. Under the Biden-Harris administration, the Border Patrol recorded high encounters, with more than 7 million illegal immigrants believed to be in the United States.

But Democratic lawmakers, officials and others have criticized Trump's mass deportation plan, and some sanctuary city officials say they will not support a federal raid. Homan pushed back, warning that those trying to help illegal immigrants could face legal repercussions from attorney general candidate Pam Bondi.
