Protesters flocked to the streets of major cities across the country on Wednesday in protest of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), President Donald Trump's aggressive agenda on topics such as immigration, tariffs, gender and labor.

The Associated Press reported that the protest was the result of a movement organized online under the hashtags #BuildTheresistance and #50501, and that 50 states existed one day. Social media websites and accounts sought action with messages such as “rejecting fascism” and “protecting our democracy.”

In Austin, Texas, hundreds of protesters went to the streets after protesting on the stairs of the state Capitol.

Hundreds of students from the city's independent school districts in San Antnio, Texas, protested with US immigrants, customs execution (ICE), and exile outside the country.

In Los Angeles, students left class and gathered in front of city hall to protest the ice and protest for immigration rights.
