Texas karate coach accused of raping young teenage student at summer camp

Local authorities say the Texas karate instructor was arrested for allegedly raping one of his teenage male students in the dojo bathroom.

William Propper, 30, was accused of sexually assaulting a student at the Safety American Curator School in Sugarland, Texas during summer camps in 2022 or 2023, according to the affidavit. Reviewed by people.

The unnamed minor told his mother and investigators that a propper, who had been training his child since 2018, took him to the bathroom during summer camp and attacked him.

Propper said he was “a student who was 13 or 14 at the time was “mature enough to try sex.”

The instructor also told the child that the bathroom incident was “secret,” investigators say.

The teenager didn't immediately share a horrifying encounter with his family. Most recently, he reported that he just told his mother that he contacted the Sugar Land Police Station.

A longtime instructor, Propper was placed on a vacation from Safety America's Karate, Khou reports.

“There was an allegation against a Safety America employee that led to his arrest. The employee was taken on leave from Safety America until the results of the investigation were revealed.

Propper was arrested by police on February 1st, but was released on a $75,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court on March 17th.
