Bills’ Josh Allen wins 1st career NFL MVP

Josh Allen finally has some hardware.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback was named the NFL's most valuable player for the first time on Thursday.

Fans wondered what Allen would do after the bill traded Stephon Diggs in the offseason. Well, he was clearly fine.

Allen scored dozens of touchdowns on his feet, throwing 28 touchdowns against a career low six interception. Allen's 77.4 QBR was the best in the NFL, but it's even more impressive considering he didn't have a generic name to throw exactly. Halil Shaquil led the team in targets (100), receptions (76) and yards (821).

Allen won AFC East on December 1st, earning sub-removal benefits. However, it has become very clear that as long as Allen is folded, the bill has an opportunity to compete.

He beat Lamar Jackson slightly. Perhaps the AFC divisional round was foreshadowed an MVP voting two and a half weeks ago, as Allen's bill pulled out a narrow 27-25 victory over Baltimore.

Allen received a total of 383 votes, while Jackson scored 362. Allen won 27 of the 50 votes in first place, while Jackson won the other 23 votes. Allen also won third place votes. Jackson actually recorded the fourth place tally.

This is the first time that All-Pro has not won MVP since 1987, despite Jackson actually winning more first-team All-Pro votes than Allen (John Elway) .

Allen has yet to overcome Kansas City's Chiefs Hump, losing for the fourth time in the playoffs in the AFC title game. However, for a long time, the long MVP has become Allen's resume.
