Jaden Daniels and Jared Byrds were awarded the Offensive and Defensive Newcomer Award at NFL Honors in New Orleans on Thursday night.
Daniels was LSU's second overall pick following the Heisman Trophy campaign, and was impressed from the second he came to the field.
Daniels threw for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns while completing 69% of passes and got a Pro Bowl nod. He also converted his first down of 55 with his foot, running for 891 yards and six more scores.

In his first NFL season, he was selected to the Pro Bowl – he picked up a fumble and had 57 yards to the wild card round house facing the Minnesota Vikings.
From all but one game, Verse recorded 66 tackles, 18 QB hits, 11 tackles losses and 4.5 sacks. He also deflected two passes and picked up two fumbles.

He is the first RAM to win an award since Aaron Donald in 2014. So that would portend a good for the rest of his career. His teammate from Braden Fiske has also been nominated, so it appears that Rams' defense is moving forward.
