Authorities are desperately searching for a plane carrying 10 people who went missing on their way to Norme, Alaska, according to authorities.
Bering Air Flight from Unalakleet to Nome failed to land as scheduled at 4pm on Thursday, sending local and federal officials to a crazy dash to find the missing aircraft . The Alaska Department of Public Safety said.
The Alaska State Military and the National Transportation Safety Board's search and rescue personnel and the National Traffic Safety Board are working to identify the last known coordinates of the plane, according to the statement.

“We currently have active ground searches from Gnome and White Mountains, and have as much updates as possible about the events,” the fire department wrote in a Facebook statement.
The Alaska National Guard and Coast Guard are also engaged in search of gnome-bound planes that appear to have disappeared without traces, the department said.
