Former Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills Head Coach Dick Jauron Dead At 74

Former Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron passed away at the age of 74 after a battle with cancer.

On Saturday, the bill announced that Jauron had passed away, sending apologies to his loved ones.

Jauron coached the Bears from 1999 to 2003, compiling a 35-45 record in Chicago. He later coached the Buffalo Bills from 2006 to 2009, finishing 24-33 in three seasons.

Jauron was also the interim head coach of the Detroit Lions for the final five games of the 2005 season.

In his 10 years as a head coach in the NFL, he had a 60-82 total record. He last coached in the NFL in 2011-2012 as defensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns.

Jauron, a star running at Yale, was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
