NY man says he was blackout drunk when he beat his drinking buddy to death on sidewalk

A Westchester County man accused of murdering a drinking buddy on a suburban sidewalk said he was extremely drunk when he couldn't remember the fatal assault.

Jare Diaz, 26, said Tuesday that Otoniel Guzman Dedicho did not remember the attack on the white plains sidewalk on November 26, 2022, after a violent boosing. Reported by Lohud.com.

Diaz said he repeatedly watched surveillance video footage of the heartless attack.

“I have tried to remember since my first day in prison, but I have not,” he told his lawyer, Angelo McDonald.

Diaz said he was distraught on the night of the attack after his wife left him and took his young son to heavy drinking and marijuana use.

He says the pair drinks a beer and from two big bottles of Bacardi Rum before their brawl.

Two cameras won a conflict. This was a conflict from the East Post Road laundromat. This showed that the two cameras would take part in a drunken, shoved match before Diaz was said to have attacked her friend.

He is being accused Kick and punch Desu Dico 34 times, and at one point he dragged him along the ground, fatally wounding the victim, Rofd said.

He was placed on life support at Westchester County Medical Center, but died three days later.

Diaz has been in custody at the Westchester County Jail without bail on murder, manslaughter and robbery charges since November 28, 2022, records show.

The Westchester County DA office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
