Chiefs’ Chris Jones dabs eyes as emotions take over during Super Bowl LIX national anthem

The Super Bowl brings emotion from everyone.

Kansas City Chiefs star Chris Jones slapped his eyes with tissue as five-time Grammy winner John Baptiste sang the national anthem before the Super Bowl.

This is not the first time Jones has cried during the national anthem. He won the San Francisco 49ers in last year's Super Bowl and did so throughout the playoffs in a major game for the Chiefs this season.

The last time these teams met in the Super Bowl, Eagles head coach Nick Cirianni shed tears during the national anthem, but this time they didn't.

The Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38-35 in the Super Bowl LVII. This is a victory that began his quest to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

After beating the 49ers last year, the chief is now on the cliffs of history.

Many Chiefs stars in their first Super Bowl with the Eagles still play a major role in this current team.

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Jones and Harrison Butker have been one of the key contributors to that game this season.

For the Eagles, the biggest difference is the addition of a star running Saquon Barkley.

Barkley is the catalyst for the Eagles' offensive success and is in one of the most dominant running seasons in NFL history.

Berkley ran for over 2,000 yards in the regular season and continued to play strong in the playoffs.

In three playoff games, Berkley ran for 442 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Eagles into a big game.

Jones must quickly regain his emotions and help lead the chief into history, in order to try to slow the attacks of Berklee and the powerful Eagles.
