House Republican blasts Beyoncé as 'DEI' winner at Grammy Awards

Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UTAH) denounced Beyoncé as the winner of “Day” after winning the Best Country Album at the Grammys.

That's what Owens was like I asked on Friday As for what he thought about her victory, it solidified her as the first black woman to win an award.

“I think that's the closest thing to Dei we're going to see now,” he said.

After taking office, President Trump signed an executive order to remove the DEI initiative at the federal level.

Owens pointed out that he is not a country music fan himself, but he understands that listeners may be frustrated by Beyoncé's victory.

“You make all that effort, develop your fan base, get out there, you work to develop a reputation, suddenly, come out of blue because someone is popular… and she's the best It will be something,” Owens said. “No one respects that.”

The Utah representative said he believes he has doubled his criticism and won the title “reduce” Beyoncé's reputation. He argued that fairness is what the United States is all about.

“That's why we're so excited about what President Trump did by protecting women from men. We don't like injustice,” he says, adding that President Trump's recent transgender relationship pointed out the executive order.

“Beyoncé and the Grammys… they'll suffer in the long term because of that,” he concluded.
