PBS fell into Donald Trump.
A PBS spokesman confirmed that the DEI office has been closed.
A spokesperson said: “We have closed our DEI office in order to do our best to comply with the President's executive order on diversity, equity and inclusion.
Public Broadcasting Services announced Monday evening that it had closed its offices of diversity, equity and inclusion in order to comply with an executive order signed by President Donald Trump.
PBS also said that staff at the office have left the company but will continue to serve Americans from all backgrounds.
A spokesperson with a nonprofit distributor of education programming that receives government funding, told a Hollywood reporter that the office has been closed.
“We have closed our DEI office to ensure that we are maximally complying with the President's executive order on diversity, equity and inclusion,” the person said. “The staff who worked in that office have left PBS. We will continue to adhere to our mission and values. PBS will continue to reflect everything in America and remain a welcome place for everyone. ”
Trump-appointed FCC chairman Brendan Kerr said he is investigating PBS and NPR.

PBS expanded its diversity, equity and comprehensive team in 2022. In its second annual DEI report released in February 2023, the network said it created a DEI office in 2022 and hired staff members including Loving and Dei. Directed by Gina Leo. At the time, the company also established employee resource groups and DEI supporters and committees.
At the time, the company said its workforce reached a 44% BIPOC, reaching its highest level in six years.
