CNN host Abby Phillip and critic Scott Jennings were caught up in a heated debate on her show over the pushback of President Trump's court agenda meeting on Monday.
“All of these cases deal with modest issues,” says Philip, an order that temporarily blocks efforts by the Trump administration and temporarily blocks efforts by the Trump administration from reducing the size of federal agencies. It was stated in relation to. “They are all dealt with by different judges. Here, it's not a broad policy band.”
“Yes,” Jennings inserted.
“When the court says, 'The Congress has allocated this money – you have to remove it,'” she continued. “Why can't Trump adhere to that?”
“So you say the judge should decide how and when the money will be spent,” Jennings replied. “And not the President of the United States.”
At first glance, Philip said, “Let me explain it a little more slowly.”
“You don't need to tell me that way,” Jennings scrunched. “I have a position on this. If you don't agree with me, we can talk about it.”
“But you haven't heard,” the host shot. “And you're making claims that aren't related to facts.”
Jennings said he had “completely opposed” to a judge who has the authority to allow funding the federal program during the ongoing lawsuit on the matter.
Former GOP aide Jennings has named himself on CNN, defending President Trump's agenda and defending sparring with various guests and hosts on the network. It was speculated that he was considered a White House press secretary.
Trump was treated to a series of set-offs in court in the early weeks of his second term, and Democrats are increasingly sounding warnings that the White House simply ignores those rulings. A federal judge on Monday ordered the administration to comply with federal grants that freeze previous orders after Democrats said the ruling was not upheld.
