Senior offensive lineman Ben Christman, who recently transferred to UNLV, has been killed in an off-campus apartment Tuesday morning, the school said.
He was 21 years old.
The school said there were no additional details and the Clark County Coroner's office would later announce Christman's cause of death.
“The hearts of our team are broken to hear of Ben's death,” coach Dan Mullen said in a statement. “Since the day Ben stepped onto campus a month ago, he made the Rebels a better program, as Ben had gained the pressing respect, praise and friendship of all his teammates. , it was an easy choice for our leadership committee. Our prayers go to his family and everyone who knows him. Ben makes the world a better place and he is overlooked. ”
Chistman spent the past two seasons with Kentucky and played in 12 games with a special team in 2024 after missing the previous season due to a knee injury.
He began his college career in Ohio, wearing a redshirt in 2021 and appeared in one game in 2022.

Originally from Akron, Ohio, he was a four-star recruit in high school.
