Ben Stiller Back at Madison Square Garden After Met Gala
Fortunately for Ben Stiller, the Met Gala only happens once a year.
The actor and director returned to Madison Square Garden for Game 2 between the Knicks and 76ers on Wednesday night, after missing the series opener on Monday due to his involvement in the gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
At the event, Stiller sported an orange tie to show his support for the Knicks, while his wife, actress Christine Taylor, wore a striking royal blue dress by Viv Mohapatra. As he arrived at the celebration, Stiller made a gesture by holding up six fingers, expressing his belief that New York would win the best-of-six series against Philadelphia, having already taken Game 1.
When he appeared at the Garden, Stiller opted for a more casual look, donning a black Knicks hoodie. He wasn’t alone; actor Timothée Chalamet and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner were seated nearby, with Jenner having skipped the gala to attend Game 1 instead.
Interestingly, Jenner had attended the gala solo. On Tuesday, Chalamet shared a video of him scoring a three-pointer at Madison Square Garden, which led to a playful response from the Knicks’ social media team offering him a contract and jokingly stating, “Check your DMs for a 10-day offer.”
Jason Bateman and Sam Rockwell were spotted sitting close to Chalamet and Jenner, chatting as the game unfolded.
The celebrity atmosphere at Game 2 wasn’t just limited to actors; rapper Jay-Z, a former Nets co-owner, took a moment to pose for a photo with Knicks legend Walt “Clyde” Frazier.
Knicks alumni were well represented, featuring stars like Patrick Ewing, John Starks, Larry Johnson, Latrell Sprewell, Spencer Haywood, Chris Childs, and Kurt Thomas among the attendees that night.
