McConnell Votes with Democrats Against Gabbard’s DNI Confirmation

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) voted Wednesday with a Democrat colleague to confirm Tarshi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence.

McConnell's vote highlights President Donald Trump and his repeated opposition to his first American policy. He previously voted against the confirmation of Defense Secretary Pete Hegses in January.

Watch – Tarshi Gabbard confirmed as Trump's National Intelligence Director by the US Senator:

McConnell was the only Republican to vote “No” to Trump's nomination. All Democrats voted “No.”

Despite opposition from Democrats and McConnell, the Senate confirmed Gabbard's nomination by a 52-48 vote.

McConnell argued in a statement after the vote that Gabbard was “less worth” in confirmation.

McConnell, chairman of the Senate Budget Defense Subcommittee, is the longest Senate leader in American history. He resigned in January.

McConnell showed in December that MAGA is the cause of the US controlled decline, despite the movement being only eight years old. McConnell, 83, has been in power since 1985.

“Let's be absolutely clear. America will not be great again by those who are happy to manage our decline,” he said in a veiled swipe in the Magazine.

Under McConnell's Senate leadership, national debt rose more than $35 trillion, illegal immigration spikes, and true wages for American workers did not grow. Obamacare was established in 2010. Congress bailed out major banks in 2008, and social media companies silenced individuals without any impact. McConnell is also affiliated with the Chinese government.
