Gulf Cartel Hitman Arrested by Border Patrol — In Michigan

Michigan's Border Patrol agents arrested “Gulf Cartel Hitman Leader” in immigration enforcement action last week.

John Morris, the chief patrol agent of the Detroit sector, has posted a report on X, revealing the arrest of Melchiades Salgado Garza. Morris explained that illegal foreigners are the leaders of the Gulf Cartel hitmen.

The chief reported that Salgado's criminal history includes charges for robbery, forgery and immigration violations.

Over the weekend, Chief Morris reported that agents had been assigned to Sault Ste. Marie Station has arrested suspects in the violent Tren de Aragua Venezuela prison.

Border Patrol agents were searching for suspected gang members and found him during a traffic stop. Authorities did not release the names of TDA gang members, but said they arrested him for attempting to retrieve a vehicle that had previously been seized.

Agents at Marysville Station have arrested another illegal foreigner from Mexico. Mexican citizens have been arrested 10 times for illegal entry into the United States since 1999.

Morris said they are dealing with Mexican citizens for removal.

National removal work is affecting border intersections. Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks reported a 91% decline in immigration concerns at the border compared to the same week last year.

“By stopping flows at the border, we streamline the removal of already illegal entrants within the country and strengthen the integrity of our immigration system,” Banks said.
