The Mavericks' front line collapsed before us.
In his first game after being traded with Luka Donsic in arguably the most infamous deal in NBA history, Anthony Davis suffered an aidulator injury and knocked him out for at least a few weeks.
After the game, Dallas lost Daniel Gafford.
Even though the team already had no big guys, there were Lively II and Dwight Powell, and one player on the roster (7-footer Kyler Kelly) remained taller than 6-foot-7.
Kelly has played just five games this season and has been logged on for more than eight minutes in the game.
Even if Kelly plays Thursday, it's hard to see how this little Mavericks roster slows down the massive heat frontcourts of Bam Adebayo and Keruel Wear.
Heat vs. Mavericks odds
| team | Spread it | Money Line | total |
|---|---|---|---|
| heat | -1 (-112) | -122 | O221 (-112) |
| Mavericks | +1 (-108) | +102 | U221 (-108) |
Adebayo and Ware have thrived ever since joining the Heat's starting lineup late last month.
In the 10 games before heading Wednesday, the rookies averaged 11.4 points and 10.3 rebounds, but Adebayo's numbers fell little, averaging 19.8 points and 11.2 rebounds.
We look forward to the Miami big names playing a monster game in Dallas on Thursday night.
Are you going to bet on the NBA?
There are two ways to play this, but I'm going to combine them.
Adebayo and Ware could take it every rebound, but the heat is expected to supply them even at the offensive end.
Theatre: BAM Adebayo+ rebound (-115) with 29.5 points or more and Kel'el Ware 20.5 points + rebound (-115) | Same parlay (+258, DraftKings)
