The woman who called the 911 that led to the arrest of former chief and giant wide receiver Cadarius Tony said she was strangled to death during her seven months of pregnancy.
In the audio revealed by TMZ on Thursdaythe unidentified woman said she entered into a “interrogation” with her and Tony, whom she identified as her boyfriend, and placed her hands on her in the January 14 incident in Douglasville, Georgia.
“He put his hands on me while holding my daughter – and I'm pregnant for seven months,” she told the dispatcher.
During the call, she reveals that she and Tony, 26, live together.
According to arrest records seen in a post about Tony strangled the victim, “with enough strength to prevent her from breathing.”
Tony allegedly tried to stop the woman from calling 911 after making the phone call.
The warrant was used before Tony was arrested on January 15th and February 6th.
He is faced with charges that involve aggravated assault for obstructing 911 calls and obstructing/harassing.
He was released on $50,000 bail.
Alabama Mobile Native appeared to address the incident with an Instagram story that was subsequently removed. All TMZ.
“The midfielder says anything when he thinks he's right,” he wrote a black and white photo of himself. “& They believe in anything… as long as it's bad.”
Tony was the Giants' No. 20th overall pick in 2021, and after a half season he was traded with the Chiefs.
Kansas City released him before the start of the 2024 season – after he was part of two teams that won the Super Bowl, he was eventually greeted by the Browns. .
