Richard Lee Tabler mouths final words to victims’ families before execution

The repentant death row inmate admitted forgiveness and put one last message in his mouth before dying in Texas on Thursday, 20 years after he killed a strip club manager and another man.

Richard Lee Tavler, 46, also admitted to killing two teenage dancers at the club and said he found God in prison for 20 years.

Dotson's father George was among the witnesses. He refused to comment on Tavra's apology and said he needed time to process what he just saw, and was happy to see it.

“I couldn't wait,” he said. “It took me 20 years to come here.”
