On Friday for Czar Tom Homan, the Fox News Channel's “Fox & Friends” Trump border, New York Mayor Eric Adams said he would be back if he didn't deliver.
Iahart: Thank you, Mayor. Immigration shelter. It is known as a mega-immigrant shelter built in the Bronx. We interviewed a representative from the Bronx and he said he would talk to everyone on the street. No one wants to build that facility. What is its status? It's between you or between –
Adams: That's great. That's great. Do you know what's interesting? When we went anywhere in town, when there were 220,000 immigrants here, we were anywhere in town and asked who wanted shelter there, the elected person didn't raise their hands. And you ask them the following question, how many people went to Washington, DC, and to the previous administration? And you need to stop this. I have traveled there 10 times.
Therefore, you cannot simply express your concerns from the sterile environment of your office space. They should have said we needed to stop this trend. And they weren't. And these shelters have to go somewhere.
Doocy: Well, how much does the federal government pay for either the Roosevelt Hotel or any of these other sanctuary hotels?
Adams: We keep them closed for the work we did. We had 180,000 from our system. Floyd Bennett Field has been closed.
Doocy: So, are you closing them one at a time?
Adams: No, more than one at a time. As the population decreases, it must be closed. I have planned for 30 and 60 days. No one can stay longer than that.
Kilmeade: Because your president, who you worked for and worked for his re-election, let it wake up and didn't call you when you asked for help.
Adams: 100%, I agree.
Kilmead: He will ice you out.
Adams: Yes, that's right.
Kilmeade: So you'll be making a decision.
Adams: That's a good point.
Kilmeade: That's right.
Homan: The day the federal government paying for immigration centres is over.
Kilmead: That's good. So, mayor, are you planning to run for election?
Adams: Yes.
Kilmeade: Are you thinking of running as a Republican?
Adams: I'm going to run on the democratic line. We – The petition began immediately. Running as a Democrat. There are many Democrats. As you see 78% who believe that the ice is doing by kicking out dangerous people. I think we have to put people on the ballot. That's the problem.
Kilmeade: But you owe about 25 points to former Governor Cuomo who wants to be Mayor Cuomo.
Adams: Well, listen to this. I had another Andrew in my previous race. He was beating me in double digits in February. But we don't call Mayor Andrew Yang. I'm called Mayor Eric Adams. Never give up. New Yorker, never give up. People went to me months ago. But what do you know? I'm sitting on your couch talking to Fox and friends.
Doocy: You're sitting today and talking about a new alliance between Ice and Adams. So thank you for coming.
Earhardt: Thank you very much.
Adams: Thank you. The alliance was never serious.
Homan: And if he doesn't come –
Kilmeade: I'm just getting up early.
(Crosstalk)
Homan: If he can't get through, I'll be back in New York City.
Kilmeade: Yes.
Homan: And we're not sitting on the couch. I'm in his office, lifting his ass and saying it's an agreement we came and saying it's.
Adams: And I want to deliver ice. I want to deliver it to ice. Delivered for American safety.
Kilmeade: That's right.
Adams: Let's focus on all America and New Yorkers. You should have the right to have the opportunity and survive in this city.
Doocy: We'll hold you in it.
