Left Democrats challenging Mayor Adams on the June 24th primary are using the Trump administration card as bait in campaigns and other support.
Director General Bradlander, former Computer Scott Stringer, Brooklyn Sen. Zellner Miley, and other left-handed candidates have emails, texts and socially attempting to drum up their support after US President Trump dislikes New Yorker President I was fired from a media post. Justice ordered federal prosecutors on Monday to drop Adams' bribery case.
“Trump's DOJ has the power to remove these accusations, but New Yorkers, not the president, have the power to choose a new mayor and give a new start to the world's biggest cities,” Stringer's campaign said. Please read Tuesday's email.
Left-handed candidates of other political races also use the same playbook, including Justin Brannan, an ally of Secretary Adams.
“Eric Adams has dismissed his accusation. He's going to Trump, kissing the ring, and New Yorkers will suffer from it,” he allegedly claiming a text explosion on Tuesday.
Longtime Democratic consultant John Paul Lepo, including his client, said introducing Republican presidents to cut Adams as a “break” was a layup for the left-wing NYC candidate.
“It's like lean meat for Democrats right now,” he said.
Adams' biggest obstacle to winning a second term is former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who runs in the Democratic mayoral primary and is the leader of recent polls. However, Cuomo has remained a mother about his intentions since the announcement of DOJ.
Adams isn't without options if he feels Dem is turning away from him. He is considering a return to the Republican Party.
Adams campaigners did not reply to messages.
