The meeting was set to convince the trio to quit their plans, or at least maintain the delay, as Adams himself launched a call to resign in the ongoing DOJ saga, the source said.

The aides allegedly have already notified Adams of their apparent plans to leave his administration from next month during a face-to-face meeting at Gracie Mansion on Friday.

Chauncey Parker, the fourth vice mayor who oversees public safety, also answered a call Sunday, expressing his desire to cut ties with city hall, according to NBC sources.

It was not immediately clear whether the fighting Adams managed to convince him to keep the big shot.

Post reached out to city hall but didn't hear a response immediately.

Details of the meeting came into effect after federal prosecutors officially moved late Friday to throw a historic corruption case against Adams.

The motion to dismiss the lawsuit without bias — meaning it could be resurrected later — followed a wave of resignations protesting DOJ's orders in cases where it was murdered.

The filing marked the first formal step to halt Hezoner's criminal prosecution, partially pursuing a politically motivated charge by former Manhattan US lawyer Damian Williams.

The three-page filing motion was signed by Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove and filed alongside two other members of DOJ's DC office. A few days after Bove issued a spectacular order to lower the lawsuit.
