Israel, Lebanon Redeploy Forces as Ceasefire Holds; ‘Buffer Zone’ in Contention

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) were relocated to match the ceasefire contract that ended the war with Hezbollah on Tuesday, but Lebanon opposes Israel, which officially maintains a “buffer zone” I'm doing it.

As Breitbart News pointed out on Monday, the IDF will hold five positions with Israel along Lebanon's southern border to monitor compliance with the Hezbollah agreement and withdraw north of the Ritani River. I plan to guarantee it.

Hezbollah was to withdraw north of Ritani under UN Security Council resolution 1701, which ended the Second Lebanon War in 2006.

However, the resolution was not properly enforced by the United Nations or Lebanon, and Hezbollah expanded its presence in southern Lebanon, turning the region into a forward base due to an attack on Israel. The Israeli government is determined not to allow it to never happen again.

Lebanon has it I said That is to complain to the United Nations about five Israeli front posts known as “professions.” The United Nations is surrounded by Lebanon and says the five IDF positions represent a violation of the ceasefire agreement.

However, the United Nations also highlights the fact that both sides are complying with the agreement in all other ways, hoping to discourage them from returning to the war that Hezbollah launched in October 2023.
