Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are finally on their honeymoon in South Africa after signing pledges in April 2023.
Superstar gymnast and NFL safety completed “First Game Drive,” a guided excursion through a wildlife sanctuary, as seen in a series of videos and photos of the couple's Instagram stories .
Biles said “almost himself” as the lion passed the safari car.
They also saw leopards, giraffes and zebras. And then I took a photo with the elephant.
Biles, 27, and Owens, 29, also enjoyed the couple's massage and cocktails, as seen in other snapshots.
“Happy Camper,” she captioned a selfie while wearing safari gear.
It is unclear why the couple decided to go on their honeymoon two years after the knot was tied.
The athletes had a busy year in 2024.
Biles secured four medals at the Summer Olympics in Paris, including three gold.
Owens adapted to the new team after signing a two-year contract with Chicago last March.
Biles and Owens tied the knot in Houston's Harris County Courthouse three years after meeting on the Raya dating app in April 2023.
They had their second wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico that May.
Owens supported Biles in Paris for a summer match and joined his bundle of games after returning from Paris.
The NFL stars previously explained that showing up to each other, especially in their respective careers, is key for couples.
“When it comes from traveling to another event or coming to a soccer game, that's [us] Just because you know your family is supporting you, you want to go there or you want to improve,” Owens told the Post. “It's just one thing that ensures that we always do to each other because we understand what we are going through.
“It was amazing… I don't want to do it any other way with my wife because we understand each other and fully support each other.”
