Travis Kelse has become an unusual man.
At least according to his brother, Jason.
The former Eagles Center appeared on the Fitz & Whit podcast on Tuesday, and the topic of his brother, the Chiefs Star tight end, came out into the conversation, naturally.
When longtime NFL quarterback host Ryan Fitzpatrick asked Jason about Travis, he was wondering if he had matured over the past few years.
Jason said Travis actually had it and it was “amazing.”
“One thing I like about Travis is that he's never grown up,” Jason said when Travis grew up having a basketball hoop inside his house. Ta. “He was like Peter Pan, the Lost Boy.”
When Fitzpatrick asked if it had changed, Jason said: Travis is growing, but he still has a youthful enthusiasm. I think he always has it. That's part of his personality. That's one of the reasons why all your teammates have loved playing with him.
“You can't help but love a man, and he is a free spirit in the best way possible.”
Whether or not someone who might have helped bring out these changes in Kelce is girlfriend Taylor Swift, the two began a relationship that attracted their attention in the fall of 2023.
It was a whirlwind for Travis, 35. This is a matter of his NFL future after the Chief was crushed in the Super Bowl by the Eagles in 2025.
In the wake of the Super Bowl blowout last week, Travis spoke to his future, admitting that he has no official answers about what to do next.
“I know everyone wants to know if I'm playing next year. Now, I'm just kicking everything in the future,” he said. “I can kick everything,” said Kelse, a three-time Super Bowl champion. “I'm not making crazy decisions, but the biggest thing for now is that I'm just there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, there's a lot of this. I understand that.
Athletic reported The Chiefs gave Kelse a mid-March deadline — when free agency begins, it will decide whether he will play next season.
Kelce will need a $12.5 million roster bonus on March 15 if he is still with Kansas City.
