Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen value private when it comes to relationships.
In a February cover interview “WhoWhatwear” The “Crime” actress explained how the couple protected their relationship from the public eye. And she revealed new details about the Bills quarterback proposal that took place in Malibu last November.
“When you realize that there are already so many in every other aspect of life there, you learn to cherish the little things that aren't really,” says Steinfeld, 28, who is almost completely engaging in their relationship. He talked about protecting him from the spotlight. “It's just something special, and it's just yours.”
Steinfeld and Allen, first photographed together in Manhattan in May 2023, had been dating for about two years when they proposed under the pink and red rose arch next to the body of water.
She said she wouldn't see it coming.
“What a god, no! You'll tell your girlfriend about it, yes, you say, 'I just don't want to know,'” Steinfeld said.
The multi-platinum singer added that she was happy that she “sees good” after thinking it was a normal date night with Allen.
Steinfeld wore an Etro printed silk dress, “My Closet Forever” and a random choice she chose for the occasion.
“I'm so grateful that he made it visible in his way. Did I wear it?” she said.
“We were in Malibu. It was my happy place and it was magical. That's the word,” she recalled.
“We thought we'd go on a little date night, but it happened to be that in this beautiful set up the dress matched the flowers. I want to make wallpaper from this photo and put it in my room.”
Steinfeld explained in a Q&A video with “who whatwear” She “turned black” during Allen's suggestion.
“I don't think I can identify that,” she said the moment she knew she was engaged. “I've completely turned black. I feel like I've seen something around for a few hours. I don't remember anything he said. I'm still in shock. I'm not in the air. It's still recovering.
“…but I am so blessed and fortunately able to marry the man of my dreams, and he has planned the most perfect proposal I have ever dreamed of.”
Steinfeld conducted an interview on Zoom Call on a home she shares with Allen, sitting on a “Creative Den” sofa in Buffalo, New York.
