Former US ambassador Rahm Emmanuel said President Trump has helped former Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin achieve his dreams with his recent actions surrounding the Russian-Ukraine war.
Emmanuel said on Tuesday's “Hook on tap“The podcast with Democratic strategists David Axelrod and Mike Murphy condemns the war with Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky for Trump's handling of peace talks and concerns spreading throughout Europe.
Murphy claimed that the Russians are currently performing “fun dances.” Because while Secretary of State Marco Rubio is engaged in negotiations with Russia, Ukraine has been mostly on the sidelines these days.
“Their number one goal since World War II is to split NATO and ruin the Atlantic Alliance. Of course, Trump is a huge asset,” Murphy said.
Emmanuel intervened with Murphy and agreed.
“It's been a singular goal since Joseph Stalin, and the President of the United States has achieved Joseph Stalin's wet dream,” he said.
Murphy argued that the Trump administration serves “all Russia's foreign policy goals” by giving bilateral negotiations without acknowledging anything.
“If I were European, I would say, 'Wow, we're coming. I'll sit down. [at] That negotiation,” Emmanuel said. “They need to get to the table because the US team needs adult supervision.”
Trump on Tuesday said he blamed Zelensky on the war, but that would never have started if he was president for the past four years. Trump campaigned to end the war and argued that reaching deals with Russia was a top priority and that deaths would not be allowed to rise.
However, his administration's actions have made some Western Europe's leaders uneasy, as well as Zelensky. Because they are on the sidelines of Ukraine from consultations.
The GOP Senator has been wary of the verbal war between Trump and Zelensky this week.
