Appeals court won’t immediately revive Trump’s birthright citizenship order 

On Wednesday evening, the federal court of appeals declined the Trump administration's request to partially revive the president's executive order restricting birthright citizenship.

Wednesday's ruling was the first time an appellate court has effectively hampered Trump's birthright citizenship order, which has filed 10 cases nationwide. The case will continue in front of the 9th Circuit, but the Department of Justice can seek emergency relief from the Supreme Court.
