Women’s hockey stars throw down as PWHL’s first fight erupts

They put their own path into the record book.

Professional women's hockey league players Jill Saulnier and Tereza Vanisova threw in while the world watched Canada beat the US overtime and won a four-nation showdown on Thursday What appears to be The first battle in league history.

As Saulnier appeared to be incited a brawl, both fighters decided to land a punch on the bundle, pushing Banisova into the corner, throwing a stick, and landing the hayer instead.

Fracas came during a 3-2 overtime victory on the Boston Fleet's Ottawa charge.

Banisova and Saulnier landed a beautiful shot that was good for the fight, but they never waved off their gloves and instead acted like boxers by fighting the gloves.

After the fight, both players were taken to the penalty box for what officials called “drudges” when they licked the wounds from the fight.

Saulnier seemed to get the worst as she was covered in blood and dyed her face into a towel while she sat in the penalty box.

Saulnier made the land's clean rights and left wing, and squealed Vanisova's head early in the exchange.

But both women were doing strong shows as no one came out of the unharmed battle.

But Bani Soba got a final laugh as the Czech Republic 24-year-old scored in the final moments of regulation, pushing the game into overtime and supporting another goal.

She currently has the first “Gordie Howe” hat trick in PWHL history. This refers to when players tally goals, assists and battles in the same game.

The PWHL was founded in 2023 and has three teams from Canada and three from the US.
