Last week, two Venezuelan flights carried 190 illegal immigrants from the United States to Venezuela.
In January, President Donald Trump said he wanted to expand the immigration detention center in Guantanamo to house as many as 30,000 people. The military base is best known for detaining suspects of terrorism following the attack on September 11, 2001.
“Some of them are so bad that we don't want them to come back, so we don't even trust them to hold them, so we're going to send that country to Guantanamo. That's it,” Trump said.
Acceptance by Venezuela could indicate a country's willingness to regularly regain citizens illegally entering the United States.
