Alex Rodriguez hits halfcourt shot to help student win $10K

Bucknell University students may not have been fans of former MLB star Alex Rodriguez by Sunday, but the former New York Yankees triad has undoubtedly changed their perception.

Rodriguez attended the Bucknell Amy match along with his business partners, Mark Roa and Geordy Razor. The baseball star was asked to deliver clutch shots at halftime.

He stepped up to midcourt at Sojka Pavilion in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and banked halfcourt shots into the basket. The Bison Student Section has now become wild. One student won $10,000 for the maker of Rodriguez.

Lore and Lieder graduated from Lore in 1993 and Lore in 2006. Lore, Leiser and Rodriguez helped launch Jump, a technology company aimed at building relationships between fans and professional sports organizations. Lore and Rodriguez were also partners in the recent acquisition of the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves.

The three men spoke at the Bucknell Forum event before the tip-off.

Before becoming a pro, Rodriguez went to high schools in South Florida and was selected as the number one spot in the 1994 draft for the Seattle Mariners. Since retiring from baseball, Rodriguez has become a prominent businessman.

Aside from his relationship with Lore and Leiser, he has started A-Rod Corp and has invested in several companies, including Snapchat, Vita Coco, Hims, Hers, and other major companies.
