DOGE fight? Speaker Johnson speaks out AGAINST giving back to taxpayers

Elon Musk and Donald Trump suggest that the government will bring the wasteful taxes of the American people back to them, which seems like a great idea to most people, but one Republican lawmaker is frightening. I believe it's an idea.

“The president said Doge's savings percentage could return to Americans in the form of “Doge stimulus checks,” such as 20%. How does it work? “Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) was asked on the CPAC stage.

“I mean, politically, that's great for us, you know, send a check to everyone,” Johnson replied. “But if you think about our core principles, then financial responsibility is what we do as conservatives. That's our brand, we have $36 trillion in federal debt. We There's a huge deficit that's fighting for.”

“You think you need to pay off your credit card, right? That's what we think we need to do,” he added.

Liz Wheeler from “The Liz Wheeler Show” couldn't disagree any more.

“He's generally against that,” Wheeler says. “Fiscal conservatism is our brand,” he said. No, it's not your brand. Because you and many of your colleagues have been in Congress for decades and you haven't done anything to stop spending. ”

“We've done nothing to pay off our debts and deficits. All you did is make it worse,” she continues, pointing out that Elon and Trump's ideas actually help the American people. Masu.

“He's actually doing something more effective to help you practice fiscal conservatism than ever,” she continues. “Yeah, we have a lot of debt. We have this deficit, which isn't good, but Americans have the prices they face. Food, whether it's medical costs or not. Maybe it's the cost of eggs in a store or home.”

“Living is hardly in control,” she adds.
