House Republican leaders are aiming for muscle through Tuesday's budget resolution.
However, opposition emerges from all aspects of the conference, with speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and his leadership team rushing to strengthen their support. Johnson can afford just one GOP asylum, assuming full attendance on both sides.
Senate Republicans have already adopted their own slim version of the resolution, but Trump has expressed his preference for House plans.
The house will vote for the bill in the afternoon.
Also on Tuesday, White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt shared that tech billionaire Elon Musk will join President Trump along with his cabinet for his first meeting on Wednesday.
She also announced that the White House Correspondents Association will no longer oversee the White House pool amid tensions in the media.
